Relay for Life is 8 Days Away

Relay for Life is coming up fast with only eight more days to go. We hope to see many new faces this year and get to raise some money for a great cause. Cancer awareness is increasing every day with the internet as a powerful source of information for the masses. Many deaths are preventable as screening tests become more and more sensitive and people become more educated as to what to watch out for. We all know at least one person who has been touched by cancer in our lives. Make this day count for something greater.

At the Relay for Life Event, we will have several extremely fun activities going on. We are privileged enough to have the fun experience of having our very own locally-owned petting zoo bring some family fun to this event. There will be a savannah monitor lizard, red tail boa, ball pythons, corn snake, bearded dragon and an opportunity to feed some hedgehogs. Get your picture featured on our Facebook and other social media site with these exciting animals!

We will also be hosting "Fear Lap". For a special donation amount, you can enjoy getting a few laughs and an extra lap in by a beloved friend or family member. Do you have a family member or friend that's afraid of snakes? Get them to run that lap a lot faster when one of our team members trots along behind them with a seven-foot-long snake around their necks!

There will also b a raffle held for one lucky winner of a $100 Amazon.com Gift Card. Don't forget to purchase your raffle tickets as this is a great opportunity for you to choose some goodies for yourself or a loved one to enjoy. 100% of the funds raised go directly to the Relay for Life Donations.

Every Relay for Life event has a Survivors Lap, where all that cancer survivors take the first lap around the track to celebrate their victory over cancer. Watch or participate in the Luminaria Ceremony after dark and take time out to remember those we have lost to the battle against cancer. The Fight Back ceremony is meant to inspire each one of us to take action against cancer in our lives all year round. You won't want to miss out on the excitement.
