You can encounter changes to your 2014 Medicare Part D Plan in two different ways.
First, changes to the Medicare Part D Standard Benefit Model can alter your plan. This Model is developed by the centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and determines; the maximum allowed Part D deductible, the initial coverage limit, the out-of-pocket threshold amount and what you will pay while in the catastrophic portion of Part D coverage.
Since Medicare Part D Plans are effective for one calendar year, you may see changes to your 2014 plan. These changes may include:
A different monthly premium
A different deductible
Changes to the Part D formulary
Changes to the pharmacy network
Changes to the Part D mail order benefits
